Unplugged

As of Saturday, April 14th at 8:00am CST I will be officially unplugged.

What does this mean? Let me explain…

For the past 2+ something years that I have been working for myself I have yet to take a vacation from my cyber-life.

Sure, there were times when I wasn’t tied to my laptop. But even then, I still had my phone with me checking email, Twitter or Facebook.

Recently I was inspired by Kate Northrup, who took an unplugged trip to Hawaii and came back completely recharged and inspired. Or so she shared on her Facebook page…

I decided I wanted a taste of that for myself.

With my girls trip to Galveston on its way, I thought this might just be the perfect time.

So I tied up my lose ends. Completed the projects that needed to be wrapped before my departure date.  Deleted my Twitter, Facebook and Gmail apps from my phone and plan to be completely disconnected and unplugged for my entire trip to Galveston.

I’m excited, nervous and anxious.

My wish is that I come back from this vacation renewed and also inspired.

I encourage you to take some time this weekend and unplug a little yourself.

You just might be surprised what you find when you take the time to listen.

I know I always am,
